Closing rope

The closing ropes are used to close and raise the grab during operations and generally operate on a single layer helically grooved drum. The ropes therefor need to have excellent bent fatigue performance and to achieve this, Bridon-Bekaert offer ropes which are filled internally with plastic and incorporating high performance lubrication to minimise wear and internal friction. Bridon-Bekaert supplies ropes with excellent wear properties as these ropes routinely suffer damage from contamination of the material that is being handled.
